Driving the No.36 Dodie Miller/Ford in the USAC Silver Crown Series presented by K&N Engineering will be Chappy Knaack. The Maryland native began racing BMX at the age of five. After racing nationally and winning nine Maryland State Championships, Chappy took his winning flair to Kart racing in 1994. Before long he was winning races all over the Mid-Atlantic region competing at sprint, oval and endurance road racing circuits. After four years of competition Chappy accumulated multiple track championships as well as two State Series Championships.

At 16, Chappy obtained a SCCA competition License and participated in Skip Barber racing school. He then undertook dirt track stockcar racing in a conquering manner. Within his third race of pure stock competition he was able to score a win. Soon, over a dozen wins built up for Chappy in the Mid-Atlantic region.

At 20, Chappy graduated to the wheelie popping action of Super Sprints- 1300lb racecars that put out over 800 alcohol injected Horsepower! Competing in the Utmost level of sprint car racing with the finest drivers in the country as well as the drivers of the World of outlaws and All Star Super Sprints allowed him to not only develop his racing skills but professionalism as well. Chappy was able to pick up numerous heat race wins as well as two second place feature finishes in only his two years competing in the Central Pennsylvania/ Mid-Atlantic region.
